And Surgery is Scheduled….

So today was another busy day in our household.  I had to work for a little while this morning so I ran him to my mom’s for a little while this morning.  Couldn’t resist grabbing a pic of my sweet one month old before we left the house today.

We met up for lunch before our appointment at Moore Ortho where we got our fifth cast, a beautiful royal blue one.

As soon as they sawed off his sweet baby boy cast, they took one look at his foot and said he was ready for surgery.  So, Monday at 8am you can find us at The Children’s Hospital where we will be praying for God’s hand to be covering our son as he undergoes his operation.  They will be doing his procedure under general anesthesia to release his heel cord and while he is already under, we are going to go ahead and take off his little skin tag on his hand.  The doctors said he shouldn’t be back there but about an hour but a lot of that time will be recasting and fitting him for his braces; actual surgery time should only be about ten minutes.  We hope to stay only one night, mainly so they can observe Parker to make sure he does ok waking up, eating again, etc.  Please pray for Parker that he will be as patient as he always is and that God will hold him and us and we go through us.  Please pray for the doctors and nurses and that God will use us for His glory during our time at the hospital to all those we come in contact with.

Check out how strong Parker is getting.  He really lifts his neck a lot and moves it around more than I thought he would be at this age.  Everyone says he is a strong little boy.

Thank you God for placing the right little boy into our family.  I cannot imagine my life without Parker and I am so thankful that God wrote the story he did for us.
